Italian and Polish body language and non-verbal gestures/commuications

I created this blog as a school project and to find out more about my heritage. I am Polish-Italian and other than what I have read recently in preparation for this blog I don't have much exposure to the cultures. My hope is to get some posts with interesting feedback from people that are Polish or Italian to help in my understanding of my heritage.

In both Italy and Poland a formal greeting  or meeting someone for the first time is done with a handshake and direct eye contact and is repeated at the conclusion of a meeting or visit. Poles may also present a slight head bow with their handshake.
