Poles tend to be quiet and are soft spoken people. In public loud behaviors or avoided. Polish men have traditional views of acceptable behavior for women, so if a women is forthright she could receive resistance from Polish men. Poles are not very demonstrative as in the use of gestures.

Italians are very demonstrative with their use of many nonverbal gestures intertwined into their language. They talk very loudly as to over talk the person or persons they are having a conversation. Italians stand close, make nonverbal gestures and talk very loud, this may seem to an outsider, non-Italian, to look aggressive, impolite and rude. This is the Italian way to show empathy and in most cases a way to stay involved in the conversation. The Italian's conversations are very passionate and that is normal for Italians.
